Course Description

The Audio Tech & Music Production Diploma program at Tenstrings Music Institute is a comprehensive one-year program designed to equip you with the essential skills needed to become a professional record producer and Live Sound Reinforcement Engineer. This program empowers you to excel in sound engineering, both in hardware and software operations, for digital and analog studios, as well as live events. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn to play two different musical instruments, further enhancing your musical abilities.

Course Modules:

1. Rudiments of Music, Practical Piano, and Music Business (Months 1-3): In this module, you will receive training in the fundamental elements of music theory, practical piano skills, and an introduction to the music business. This foundation will provide you with a strong understanding of music and its commercial aspects.
2. Audio Engineering Basics, Production Software, and Production Management/Techniques (Months 4-6): This module covers the basics of audio engineering, including sound recording, editing, and mixing techniques. You will also receive training in popular production software such as Protools, Reason, Logic Pro, Cubase, and FL Studio. Additionally, you will learn production management techniques to effectively organize and oversee music production projects.
3. Trainee Program (Months 7-9): During this phase, you will work as a trainee in the sound studio, gaining valuable hands-on experience under the guidance of professional producers and engineers. Simultaneously, you will continue your instrument lessons and further develop your skills on the second instrument. You will also receive lessons in mixing and mastering, refining your abilities in the post-production phase.
4. Internship and Final Project (Months 10-12): The final three months of the program are dedicated to an internship in a studio outside Tenstrings. You will receive an internship letter to facilitate this valuable real-world experience. Additionally, you will work on your final project, which will consist of two music tracks of different styles and genres that you have personally produced.

Course Duration: One year

Software Coverage: Protools, Reason, Logic Pro, Cubase, and FL Studio

Lecture Schedule: Three times weekly.

Sessions: Morning, afternoon, and weekend sessions are available.

Fees:

– Local Students: Five Hundred and Thirty-Seven Thousand Naira (N537, 600), payable in two installments, with a minimum initial deposit of 70% of the fee.

– International Students: Two Thousand US Dollars ($2000)
